Oberwielenbach “Talile”

In the local dialect a “Talile” is a small valley. The Oberwielenbach Talile lies in the Rieserferner-Ahrn nature park and is a perfect hiking destination for the whole family. In winter a toboggan run leads up to the Lercheralm hut; in summer you can visit the cows on the alpine pastures, follow the rushing stream or simply enjoy the peace and quiet.
Lake Antholz · 21.8 km

Hidden away at the end of the Antholz valley lies one of the most beautiful alpine lakes: surrounded by dark green forests beneath the peaks of the Rieserferner group, it is the third-largest mountain lake in South Tyrol. A nature trail around the lake explains the local rocks, trees and peaks in a playful way.

Earth pyramids of Platten

Several centuries ago a landslide cut off the old cart track between the Thalerhof and Aschbach. When another storm tore open a deep gully in 1882, erosion of the clay slopes created the earth pyramids: pillars topped with large stones that are constantly changing. The erosion area at 1,550–1,750 m is the most significant earth pyramid site in the Puster Valley. From Oberwielenbach it can be reached in about 45 minutes on a well-marked trail, from Platten in 30 minutes.
Hauser herb farm in Wielenberg

At the Hauserhof in the mountain village of Wielenberg near Percha, medicinal and culinary herbs are grown and processed on site into essential oils, teas, herbal schnapps, cosmetics and syrups. Besides the herb garden there is a playground, a small animal enclosure, a herb trail and a fairy-tale hut with witches and forest spirits.
South Tyrolean Museum of Folklore in Dietenheim · 7.1 km

The oldest provincial museum in South Tyrol: in the Mair am Hof residence and the open-air museum, farmhouses, crafts and everyday objects show how people used to live and work on the farm and in the fields. Open from Easter to the end of October.

Winter
Kronplatz · 2.5 km

With more than 100 km of slopes and state-of-the-art lifts, the 2,275 m Kronplatz is one of South Tyrol’s most popular ski mountains. Sun lovers enjoy the long descents in three directions and the wide plateau at the summit. Snow parks, children’s areas and ski schools offer fun for the whole family. The ski area is only 2.5 km from the farm.
Cross-country skiing in Antholz

The Antholz valley offers around 30 km of trails for skating and classic style against a stunning mountain backdrop. At the biathlon centre, host of World Cup races and World Championships, you can learn the right technique at the cross-country and biathlon school – or even try biathlon yourself. A toboggan ride to the Staller Sattel pass or the Steinzgeralm hut, with bacon dumplings and goulash, is a special treat.
